Forgotten Passcode
I have forgotten the 4 digit number passcode for my 1st Gen iPad Mini, and therefore can't open it.
How can I remedy this circumstance?

You erase your iPad using your home computer with iTunes, by following the directions in this link: If you forgot the passcode for your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, or your device is disabled - Apple Support
