Help: can’t take old iPhone number off iMessage

Hello please can you help me I’m trying to take off my old iPhone number from my new iPhone account so I can use iMessage properly. I’m Fortuny my phone was lost and I had to buy a brand-new one and start again which means I still have my old phone attached to my iMessage and I can’t remove it
