Do you need to plans with your carrier if you choose the watch with cellular?
Apple Watch
No. The GPS+Cellular models can be used without a cellular plan and will work exactly the same as a GPS only model. But if you don't plan on using the cellular portion there's no point in buying the cellular model.
No, but you do need to pay extra for the Cellular feature . I pay AT&T an extra $10/month (plus taxes).
