iTunes doesn't open error code 13010

I keep my media files on a samsung usb flash drive on my 2015 13" mbpro and iTunes suddenly won't open.

I rely on it to teach my dance classes, so I am kinda panicking.

I also got the message that the library couldn't be backed up before this occurred. Usually when that happens it means I don't have enough space on my hard drive, and I deleted stuff and its good, but iTunes never did not open.

I checked the samsung and the music is there, and I can play one song at a time.

Any help???

Thanks

I have this problem and it disappears after I perform a SAFE boot (hold down shift key when starting up MAC) and then restart normally. This doesn't solve the problem as it recurs after a period of time. I keep my files on a local network drive and sometimes iTunes can't seem to find its library. Can't prove but I think this is related.
