My macOS is 10.14.6 and I believe I have the latest (12/10) security update downloaded. Iam trying to find out if there was any change in Safari which would prevent accessing my account on a credit union website . Any ideas?

Try going to Safari/Preferences/Privacy and delete all the web site's cookies. Quit/reopen Safari and test.

Safari can’t open a website

 Safari – slow page loads

Safari - Unsupported third-party add-ons may cause Safari to unexpectedly quit or have performance issues

Safari doesn't load a page or webpage items are missing

Web Content not responding

Are you running any anti - virus programs? Using a VPN?

Try setting up another admin user account in System Preferences/Users & Groups to see if the same problem continues. Please post back on whether or not this worked. Also try the Safe Mode. Please post back on whether or not this worked.

If it works in the Safe Mode, try running this program when booted normally and then copy and paste the output in a reply. The program was created by Etresoft, a frequent contributor.  Please use copy and paste as screen shots can be hard to read. Click “Share Report” button in the toolbar, select “Copy to Clipboard” and then paste into a reply. This will show what is running on your computer. No personal information is shown. If the log won’t post, try posting it in Pastebin and provide a link in a reply. After pasting the report in a PasteBin page, go to the top of the page, and copy the address in the URL bar. Paste that in a new reply.        Pastebin

Safari loads the credit union's main page with signin and password blocks to be completed. When completed and the login button clicked, the usual load line appears and a "loading" circle starts to spin on an otherwise blank page. The line goes about 10-15% and then stops. This continues without any change for many minutes, once over five, before I gave up on it ever loading. The same circumstances occurred after removing all cookies, setting up a new user account and trying again, and booting up in safe mode. I have also spent nearly an hour with the credit union's tech staff who had no experience with the situation and none of their suggestions had any impact. I must note that the same situation occurred on an iMac but NOT on an iPad, if that helps. Thank you in advance for further assistance.
