Family sharing

How do i get family sharing to work? Ive done everything it says to do on the website, phoned apple support, theyve gone through it several times trying to get it to work and even they abandoned it. It all looks ok until i tap 'confirm account' then i get asked to add a payment method even though ive got 3 different payment methods on my account.

It would seem there is a problem with your payment method. If you are the family organizer, you have to have a valid credit card that the family can use. Family purchases and payments - Apple Support
