Restart Screen Horizontal blinking lights

So I wanted to update my imac but when I did, It couldn’t so It started to restart. Then this happens. Any idea why and how this could happen?

The latest software update has caused my iMac to be unable to restart. Can anyone advise me how to restart my 7 year old iMac, please. Whilst trying to download the latest software update my machine needed to be restarted. However, it has been unable to do so. It is stuck in a loop where it tries to start, then aborts. It displays the message, "Your computer restarted because of a problem. Press a key or wait a few seconds to continue starting up." When a key is pressed it starts restarting before reaching the same message again ad infinitum. Please help

System Update Problem After updating to the latest version of Monterey for my 2017 iMac, the screen is blank. 20 minutes later, is it safe to just hold down the on button to force a restart?

Did you try to use safe mode?

Use safe mode to isolate issues with your Mac - Apple Support

If this does not work, you'll have to get the mac checked by visiting an Authorized Apple Service Provider.
