New e-mail address

Hi,

I have an i-cloud email address (plus a hotmail one) that I use for everything. But I would like to set up a separate email address for my self employed business. I would use this across my Mac book, I phone & iPod. How do I go about this please.

I thought I had just done it by following instructions on one of your previous posts, but I was able to send the e-mail ok but couldn't receive one? I think I have created an alias?

Sorry i'm not very tech minded as you can probably tell!!!

Thanks for your help

Hi Claireabella362,

I'm happy to guide you trough this . It may take few steps to make sure you have your Apple ID / iCloud account created .

  • first let make sure that Apple ID/ iCloud created early are valid account. So we can isolated if alias is being created or new Apple ID account that was created.

go to https://appleid.apple.com > log in with new email address and password that you just created > under "Account " click edit at right hand side> REACHABLE AT > ** what email do you see? How many addresses are there ?

  • IF you see only one email which is your new iCloud email then go here > iCloud.com > log in with your email address and password > after login click on "mail" icon> try to compose mail and send them to general mail server like , gmail, yahoo, hotmail that you have .
  • If you have issue please do let me know . I will guide you through.

Good luck!
