Email on my iPad mini

Why has my iPad mini lost its ability to get emails. The email will show but when I try to respond it disappears and I cannot bring it up, or any others.

Hello,

Try removing your Mail account from Settings > Passwords & Accounts then re-add it.

Hello,

Try removing your Mail account from Settings > Passwords & Accounts then re-add it.
