Home pod does not respond to reset

Hi Community

My Apple HomePod does not respond. All I can get it to do is the turning white to turquoise light. When I hold my fingers on top to reset it shows the turning red light very briefly and then no display at all. It does not reset or make a reset sound. It also stopped responding to the Home-App.

The one day it was working and the next it did this. No fall or physical damage occurred.

I have tried unplugging power, switching iphones, deleting Home-app and reinstalling.

please help...?

HomePod isn’t responding, first try to restart it with the Home app

If you have two HomePod speakers set up as a stereo pair, then you'll need to ungroup the stereo pair before you can reset HomePod.

The 5 second timing (done twice) is very important. Count to 5

Reset HomePod:

  1. Unplug HomePod, wait 5 seconds, then plug it back in.
  2. Wait 5 seconds, then touch your finger to the top of HomePod and hold it there.
  3. The white spinning light will turn red. Keep your finger down.
  4. Siri will say that your HomePod is about to reset.

Or follow the alternate instructions by removing from the Home App
