Hi diki,
In most instances, when you copy a file from a Mac using Finder, you will see a little "pie chart" beside the iPhone icon in the sidebar. There is no time indication. It's possible this may not appear when dragging files directly to a third party app.
Take care.
Good afternoon diki.

I understand you are looking for a progress bar or status of a file transfer from a MacBook Pro to an iPhone 7. Are you asking syncing files or transferring files using the Finder application to the device? Are you syncing iCloud Photos or Apple Music? Are you copying files using the Files app to the device or iCloud Drive? Please provide a little more information about what you are trying to achieve, and I'll do my best to help you with this:
Use the Finder to sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod with your computer
Sync files from your Mac to iPhone or iPad - macOS User Guide
About storage on your device and in iCloud
Take care.
Thank ryane77 for the reply.
I am looking for the progress bar when copying files from MBP to an app in iPhone using Finder. For example, I want to copy my mp4 file from my MBP to VLC app in the iPhone using Finder. I need to know the transfering/copying progress so I know how long to wait and decide to cancel if necessary.
