I have a Samsung QLED smart TV, serial #QN55Q7FAM. The AppleTV app does not come up on the Editors Choice menu. When I use the search interface, the AppleTV app does not return in the results. How can I access to the app on my smart TV?
You need to check with Samsung to see if they support the Apple TV app on that model Samsung, if they do not then you need an Apple TV (hardware) or other device that supports the Apple TV app.
If you Samsung is supposed to support the Apple TV app, first verify it has up-to-date firmware installed.

Thank you for your response! I checked with Samsung first. They confirmed that firmware is up to date and suggested I follow up with Apple.

That’s good the TV is up to date but does it support the Apple TV app and if it does did you install it??. It isn’t going to magically appear.
Yes understand that and attempted to retrieve the app to install on the smart tv and it does not return in the search results which prompted the calls to Samsung and this post.
Then it is clearly a Samsung issue. Personally I think Smart TV user interfaces are garbage, that is why I bought an Apple TV 4K.
