my iPhone 6 cannot get a connection to WiFi
so I got a new iPhone.
Before I transfer data to my new phone I need to backup my iPhone data onto my computer
HOW CAN I BACK UP MY OLD IPHONE ONTO MY COMPUTER WHEN I CANNOT TURN ON MY iphone WIFI?

You attach the phone to the computer by a USB cord. Probably the same cord you charge the phone with.
You do not need wifi if backing up using iTunes/Finder to your computer.
