Make sure the iTunes/Music library on your MacBook is set up the way you like it. Then connect the iPad via USB-Lightning connector and sync. Use the steps in here: Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod using your computer - Apple Support
when i connect the computer to the iPad nothing happens I'm using thunderbolt 3 to hdmi to to thunderbolt 2 i don't think my iPad pro has lightning
