If Apple replaced the battery, take it back to Apple. Apple warranties both their parts and their labor on all repairs for a minimum of 90 days.
If someone other than Apple or an Apple Authorized service provider did it, take it back to them.

I was hoping there was some trouble shooting techniques I could try before then. But I guess I'll have to wait it out until my appointment. I can hear that it's charging and that give me hope to keep trying to turn it on but no luck so far. Which is really strange because it was working fine when I went to sleep and put it on the charger. I haven't had any trouble with it until now.
Who installed the battery?
Best answer is take your device back to the place it was installed.
My Apple appointment isn't until next Monday 7/13 so I stopped by a phone place in the middle of the mall. They didn't charge me for it after seeing that it didn't work.

If you had a non authorized person open your device, Apple most likely won’t touch it.
You have voided your warranty.
