How to actually search iTunes library

So in iTunes (now called Music?), I used to be able to search the library and it would bring me to the result within the context of the entire list of songs. Now, if you search your library it brings up the songs as icons and you can't select and manipulate them in quite the same way. In other words, if I've imported a song to Music, and I want to find it so I can convert the wav to mp3, I have to manually search through the songs in alphabetical order to find the one I want. Working with the icon search results is awkward. Does anyone know a way around this? Unless I'm missing something the new layout is counterintuitive. How can I search songs without losing the list view?
