How to recycleold apple products

I have an old phone that I just don't need. Very old. How can I get rid of it without throwing it in the landfill?

Or if the Apple Stores near you are open they will recycle it for your, or you can use this: https://www.apple.com/shop/trade-in and send it to them for recycling.
