how do you connect an Apple Cinema Display to an old 2013 mac pro tower?
Apple made two 27" displays, the LED dispkal with Mini DisplayPort, and the Thunderbolt display. Either one should plug directly into one of the 2013 Mac Pro's Thunderbolt ports. The LED display also has a USB cable to plug into one of the computer's USB ports

Depends on which Cinema display. If it uses DVI and is smaller than 30", you would use a Mini DissplayPort to DVI adapter.
For the 30", you need a Mini DisplayPort to Dual-Link DVI adapter.
The Mini DisplayPort plug fits a Thunderbolt port on the Mac.
