my niece has an iPhone xr and cannot add invitees to her calendar or receive invites to others. She is logged into iCloud and has a hotmail email. What are we doing wrong?

Where are your calendars? See the picture below.

Open the email account that hosts your calendar.

Disable and enable the calendar.
