I'm getting the "Important Battery Message" on an iPhone XS Max of which I am the original owner and have never had it serviced or had the battery replaced. Why am I getting this message? (iOS 13.6)

There may be a problem with your battery. Click on the Contact Support link at the top right of this page and they can remotely test your battery.

Chatted with Apple support and they escalated my case after running the remote diagnostic test. I've got a call scheduled and will report back what they find.
