In Apple News+ how can I delete the hardwired Following Topics?

In Apple News+, how can I deleted the “hardwired” topic “Racial Justice” that now Apple has inserted in my “Following Topics” at the top of the list of “Following”?

you're not addressing the problem.


Apple News hardwired the Following categories at the top & does not let you edit them. this is offensive as it makes Apple the political curator to what it believes i should learn about.


yes, you can add or subtract other topics but Apple restricts you from editing the topics they choose to push on to their subscribers.

Unfollow a news channel or topic

If you're following a news channel or topic you're no longer interested in, you can unfollow it. News stories related to channels and topics you've unfollowed might still appear in your Today feed.

Unfollow news on your iPhone or iPod touch

  1. Tap the Following tab.
  2. Tap Edit in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  3. Tap the Remove button  next to a channel or topic and tap Unfollow.
