Can’t use apple gift card on family sharing

i have a credit on my account from an apple gift card, however, it’s not allowing me to make a purchase using those credits. It keeps asking for the Family Sharing Organizers card information.

It is probably asking for the credit card information in case the cost of the total purchase exceeds your account balance. Have you tried supplying the card information and then making a purchase to see if the cost is deducted from your account balance?
