I am locked out of my mac

I transferred from my old macbook Air to a new machine and am now locked out of my old macbook. Any suggesttions on how to get into my old computer. (trying to give it to my daughter for school)

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 10.15

Thanks. I deactivated most of the programs already, as stated in the instructions above.

I tried to do a reset holding Command, Option, P and R but it still opens up to the default log in page that has me as a user, yet my log in doesn't work.

Any suggestions on a next step?
