How can I retrieve an unblocked phone number?

Thanks for coming to Apple Support Communities for help today. It sounds like you want to retrieve a number you unblocked and it was not in your Contacts.

If you don't see it in your Phone app in Recents, you can try restoring a backup to find it still in the blocked list. This would of course remove any data from your iPhone saved since that last backup: Restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch from a backup.

After you restore the backup you can go to Settings > Phone > Blocked Contacts to see if the number is on the list.
