Dear Apple Big Sur users:
I have been seeing the unread count within the dock for Apple Mail.
For some reason, this not possible in Big Sur.
Anyone else having this issue? Any solutions?

I found my mistake. My setting in Mail / Preferences / "Dock unread count" was incorrect. I believe I had selected "Inbox Only", and should have selected "All Mailboxes" or my Smart Mailbox named "unread". All is well now.

Some how, on 1 of my 2 Macs, the Notifications for Mail got turned off. Go to System Preferences, Notifications, select Mail in the lefthand column and check whether it was turned off:

I'm not showing the unread count in the Dock either. I checked my notification preferences and they were fine.
