How to subtract two cells and display the difference ie

cell A1=$9,000

cell A2=10,000

A3 will then display the difference $1,000

Numbers Ok i've searched everywhere but i cant find the solution I can sum the difference between two numbers no problem in a cell.... minus that figure against the other, i just dont want the minus character in the result as this is my profit. Just wanting to get the difference between two figures without the minus character. Regards

Click on A3.

Type = to open the formula editor.

Click on A1

type -

Click on A2

Click the green checkmark to confirm the formula and close the editor.
