I've been playing games and watching videos on my MacBook Air M1 since I bought it on Nov 2020 without noticing it being warm, never felt it being hot to the touch. But after updating it to Big Sur 11.2.1 anything from playing YouTube videos, installing an app or playing games makes it extremely hot. I am worried about battery deterioration due to that or damaging other components considering there is no fan in the Air M1.

I'm experiencing the same issues however just with simple task using my M1 Macbook. It's definitely due to the 11.2.1 Big Sur update. I was holding off on updating for a long time and now i can't have more than a few tabs opened on safari or chrome.
The temps are really high and I can't place the Laptop on my lap.
I have the same problem with my MacBook Pro (15-inch, 2018).
Right after update fans were working on full speed.
Im not doing anything i have only my browser opened and i see CPU SA Cores are over 91 degrees, CPU proximity has 67 degrees.
Can i somehow downgrade this system update?
