Photo Transfer

Only some of my photos are transferring from my (older) iPhone 6 to my (new) MacBook Air. What do I need to do to get the remaining photos to my laptop? Thanks!

Set up both devices to use the same Apple ID and enable iCloud on both iPhone and MacBook Air. They will sync back and forth, example photos on iCloud from iPhone will automatic sync to Photos App on MBA

Thanks...is there a way without using iCloud? Just trying to minimize using cloud space because many of the pictures were taken several years ago and I just would like them on my laptop; they were more than likely transferred from previous phone.

Take the time to read the linked document and if still have questions - come on back to these forums and post the question. There are many very Tech savvy persons who will gladly assist. Just be clear and try as best as possible to give as much details of equipment versions of iOS, macOS
