ipad purchased November 2020 not eligible for Applecare?

I purchased an ipad for my husband in November 2020. We are trying to purchase AppleCare for the ipad and see This device is not eligible for Apple Care. Why not?

You're not addressing Apple here. We are just users like you and cannot decide about your situation.

If you bought it from Apple Official channels (Apple Shop Online or Apple Store), and you still have the proof of purchase (receipt/invoice) I suggest that you contact Apple directly and explain your problem:--> https://www.apple.com/contact/
