Want to use iMac 21.5, mid 2010 display using MacBook Air, M1. Want cables, adapters are needed?

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 11.2

Sorry, but this is not possible. M1 Macs do not support Target Display Mode, the name of the function of what you want to do.

I didn't mention it in my original post, but also you have a 21.5 2010 iMac. Only 27" 2010 iMacs could ever do this function.

It's a crying shame not to be able to use target display mode. I wonder why Apple made that decision
