If you were using Apple Music, Turn on Sync Library [formerly iCloud Music Library] https://support.apple.com/HT204926

If you were not, sync your iPad to iTunes or the Music app on your computer. Sync your iPhone, iPad, or iPod using your computer - https://support.apple.com/HT201253
