How do I get the Apple Music app on my MacBook?

How do I get the Apple Music app on my MacBook?

I can't seem to figure out why the Apple Music app is not on my MacBook, nor is it available in the App Store - but I see that it is an icon in images of MacBook and it sounds like it should be available per searches on the internet.

iTunes is loaded but shouldn't the Apple Music app be available as well, like both are available on my iPad?

Can someone help me figure out what I am doing wrong?

It's a 2017 MacBook Air version macOS 10.14.6.

The latest SW update is 11.2.3

Thanks

Danielle

Getting this Back:

Apple Music is Corrupted.

Note that to reinstall Apple Music (so it operates correctly), you have to reinstall the macOS.

Why a Reinstall:

If you reinstall the macOS, nothing would be deleted. All intended, original files and Apps that came on your macOS would be reinstalled (which includes Mail). It’s all about keeping your system files intact.

Time Machine backup:

Important: Prior to the reinstallation, Create a Time Machine backup of your Mac, so that you can have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong, doing the install.
