Has anyone else had an issue with a Solo Loop failing (tearing)? I purchased mine as soon as they were available in Oct 2020 but by Mar 2021 it had developed a small imperfection that now has grown larger and with each stretch, I think the tear is growing bigger.

My advice is DO NOT BUY THE SOLO LOOP

I have wasted 3 hours of my life talking to support and senior management and I might as well have talked to a wall. There is no moving these people. It is obvious when so many people have experienced this problem that there's something wrong . They don't give a ****
Agreed. After posting about a tiny rip appearing in my solo loop band a few weeks ago, it has now completely ripped apart. I just bought a cheap replacement band on Amazon which will probably last at least as long as the Apple brand. Very disappointing customer service from Apple!
Same for me - My wife's Apple Solo Loop has a minor tear in it which surfaced about 2 months before the warranty ran out. Spent 1.5 hours on chat and a phone call only to be told that it is not covered by warranty!!! Apple rep said that it was because the tear wasn't near the watch connection point. My wife takes extremely good care of her things and the tear is a direct result of her having to stretch the band in order to put the watch on, which is precisely how the band is designed. Very disappointed.
Please add me as another disgruntled customer. Bought my watch and strap a year ago. It started to tear at around the 10 month mark but I failed to report it until just after the one year mark, when the tear had become very large. They tried to charge me $79 for a new one at first. After more than an hour total on chats and the phone I was told to go to an Apple store which I said I wouldn't do in light of the new variant. So nothing. I won't buy another Apple watch strap. So sad that Amazon sells a better band and I have to go that route.
Add me to the navy blue ripped list too. I was sized at apple and wore probably 5/7 days per week taking off once to charge each night. Certainly not excessive. Really disappointed as they should be made to wear normally without failure or acknowledge that they are not made to last and charge accordingly. Ridiculous
Any update on if they fixed it? My wife’s started doing this as well today (about 5 months after purchase, gentle use). Seems crazy if they are starting to fail so soon. Waste of $50.

I just noticed this tear on mine today, too. I’ll be contacting customer service today as well. I’m disappointed.
My watch band is also failing. I was on the chat with support yesterday and they had me send photos - even turn off Find My on the watch - and then told me it wasn’t covered??

Any resolution? I got told it was accidental damage and that it wasn't covered under warranty. Just developed with normal use for me.
Same issue here, and the same color - deep navy blue.
Apple will have you upload photos of the band and may or may not choose to make an exception to send you a replacement. Can't hurt to try.
My solo loop (black) has torn after 7 months of normal use. You do have to take the watch on and off to charge it after all. I was also told this is not covered.
