With the end of HomePod will we now be able to set HomePod Mini as default audio for Apple TV?

I know that the HomePod has been the only option for default speaker for the Apple TV (with the Airplay option as a less than perfect alternative). However, with the end of the larger HomePod, has Apple announced if they’ll be updating the Apple TV OS to allow us to set two linked Minis as the default audio speakers for the Apple TV?
