Transferring photos

Hi

I am attempting to transfer photos from my old first generation ipad to my windows pc. However, when I look in the DCIM, only 25 of the approximately 1000 photos show up. Does anyone know how I can fix this?

Many thanks

Two major methods come to mind.

1) Install iCloud for Windows on your PC. This will allow you to share and transfer your photos via iCloud.

Download iCloud for Windows – Apple Support

Set up and use iCloud for Windows – Apple Support

2) Install iTunes for Windows on your PC. This provides other transfer and management options.

Download and use iTunes for Windows – Apple Support

You can install and use both on the PC. They will happily coexist - and provide considerable flexibility in how you move/share/transfer photos and other documents and data between iPad, iPhone and your PC.

Archive or make copies of the information you store in iCloud – Apple Support

Due to the iPad system architecture and encrypted filesystem - if attempting to access your photo’s via a direct connection between your iPad and Windows PC - unless iTunes is used, you will only be able to access a subset (if any) of locally stored photos.
