Permissions problem, please advise...

I posted this more than a week ago, but since it was part of a thread with a larger problem, I guess it got lost.

I have this random Library folder in my Documents folder that I don't ever remember being there. It has a "Do Not Enter" icon at the bottom. I can't open it, nor do I want to delete it because I don't know what's in it, in case it's important. When I do try to open it, it says I don't have permission to access it.

I am the admin and only user of my Mac. There are no other profiles on my system. Why would I not have access to open this file? Is there anything that could happen to my system should I delete it?

iMac 21.5″, macOS 10.13

Hey there!


Do you use Adobe Creative Cloud?


If so, it will most likely prove that by uninstalling it, that folder will go away, indicating an issue with that app with Mac OS.


I posted on a previous question with the same answer, as I’ve seen this as well.


In my experience, nothing you do as far as the Mac troubleshooting will fix this, including testing on other users, safe boot, granting rwx permissions, connecting to other networks, even erasing the drive as new, (That’s it Creative Cloud is reinstalled onto it), will fix it.


Can you backup your data, uninstall it and test?
