lost my phone and I don't have the find my phone app on , I'm almost sure I left it a a restuarant but they are not much help there

Sorry, if you did not enable Find My, you can't track the phone. You'll have to look for it the old fashioned way. Trace your steps. Call it and hope someone hears it and answers it.
