Charging a keyboard with an iPad 8th gen

I have a non apple keyboard that has usb c port for charging. Can I charge it from my iPad 8th gen using lightning to type c cable

No. Your iPad8 Lightning port is not intended to charge external devices. By contrast, the 2018/2020 models of iPad Pro (featuring a dual-mode USB-C port) are able to charge external devices.
