96W charger with M1 MacBook Pro
I have a 96W charger than comes with my 16" MacBook Pro. Can I use it with my M1 13" MacBook Pro, or do I have to change chargers when I switch between the computers?
Thanks very much.

Find the right power adapter and cable for your Mac notebook - Apple Support
"You can use a compatible higher wattage power adapter without issue, but
it won't make your computer charge faster or operate differently. If
you use a power adapter that is lower in wattage than the adapter that
came with your Mac, it won't provide enough power to your computer."

You should have no issue using this charger with your new MacBook.
Typically if a power adapter is too much for the device, it will lower the wattage anyways.
Great. Thank you dom-cary. Just before I connected it I had this horrible thought that I'd fry the little thing.
Thank you for the link.
