I have a problem with the password on my Childs phone which belongs to my family sharing

I have created a child's account in my family sharing.

However I cannot reset the password as I am sure I am entering correctly but the phone does not recognise it.

Is there a way from my parent account to reset the phone?

iPhone 6, iOS 12

If you forgot the Apple ID password, enter the Apple (iCloud) ID, and click Forgot Password. See if you can get a Rescue or Notification email option if necessary.
