after the ios 14.6 update, nothing new appeared on the phone, as if I hadn't updated ios

Open Settings ➔ General ➔ About: Check the iOS version here.

Note that not all updates present something visibly new. iOS 14.6 is a an update from iOS 14.5. A small update which has enabled some new features related to the Apple Card along with some bug fixes.
