Compatibility Getting in the Way:
What is exactly the model number of the printer? Please provide it. It may not yet be compatible with your iOS yet. IOW: Canon may have yet to do their part in this.

"It’s a Canon Pixma MX430"

Hi,
The Canon PIXMA G3501 model does not appear to be an AirPrint printer. For this reason, you would need a separate app for printing from an iPhone/iPad. Make sure that PIXMA G3501 is a supported printer. The Canon PRINT Inkjet/SELPHY app (for iPhone and iPad) could possibly be of interest.
What troubleshooting steps have you tried? Try rebooting the router, the printer, and the phone.
I have rebooted all of those items, checked the network setup on the printer. This is an issue only on three iPhones and works fine on android and windows computers in the house.
It’s a Canon Pixma MX430
