Mail deletes automatically from iPhone

Is there a topic for this? Lately more and more of my mail, even iCloud mail, is being deleted from my iPhone 11 before I even have a chance to open it. Actually it happens on all my devices but as I usually check my phone first this is where I see it happening. It's just gone, like it never existed. Any ideas? Thanks

Sounds like you have an email client on another device or computer that is set up to access the account as a POP3 account instead of IMAP.

POP3 will delete messages from the server when they're downloaded, causing them to vanish from any mail client set up to use IMAP.
