Activation lock

I can't seem to be able to remove the activation lock on my iPhone 12

You would need to enter the Apple ID & password for the account the phone is connected with.

If you purchased the device from someone else then ask them to remove the phone from their account.

If you cannot contact the seller or return the device then you have no further options as Apple will not assist unless you are the original buyer & have proof of purchase.
