Numbers for Mac v10 file compatibility with iOS Numbers v11?

My MacBook Pro is running macOS 10.14, and Numbers v10.x.

My iPad is running iPadOS 14.4, and Numbers 10.

If I upgrade Numbers on my iOS device to v11, with the files still be compatible on the Mac version of Numbers that is still on v10?

I have seen reports elsewhere that this may indeed be the case, but wanted to confirm with someone with first-hand experience that this is possible.
