Has anyone found it impossible to enable find my Mac? I had some repair work done recently and I can't turn Find My Mac on again

Has anyone found it impossible to enable find my Mac? I had some repair work done recently and I can't turn Find My Mac on again.

Each time I click the box in the iCloud sharing settings, it is ticked briefly and then becomes unticked again.

Any ideas how to switch it back on again?

Cheers
