New iPhone charging cable

When you buy a new iPhone now do you not get a plug to go with it? I bought the XR and it’s the first phone iv got with the new cable so I don’t have a plug that fits. Do you have to then buy the plug at extra?

Apple no longer includes the charger brick with new iPhones.

You can use a cable and charger from an older iPhone if you have one.

You can use pretty much any USB charger with a Lightning to USB cable if you have one. Even a charger from an Android device.

You don't absolutely need to buy a USB-C charger, or buy one from Apple even.

You can also use a wireless charger with the XR.
