I tried to find my AIR pods pro by playing a sound. The sound was not playing because it says: Sound is pending, will play when connected. I don’t understand how I suppose to activate that the sound plays. This is only a me checking if it works or not.

If they are in the case with the cover closed, they are not connected. Try opening the cover of the charging case. Also see:

I thought that the sound suppose to help to find the AirPods in my house. How can I open the case if I can not find them. It makes no sense to me to even have the sound I f I first have to. Find them to open the case. They are working properly, they can be found on the map but why are they not playing the sound to find them more easily?
