We are having a problem when trying to update our iPhone 11 Pro. It says “ iOS 14.8 failed verification because you are no longer connected to the internet” however we have tried on several networks and continue to get the same error! In the background it’s iOS 14.6, Any ideas? The phone is less than 2 years old so after paying what we did for it then I wouldn’t expect it to breakdown!

Go to Settings > General and scroll down and see if you have a Profile on your iPhone.
