Stopping auto renewal will require you to cancel the subscription to iCloud. The way to cancel the iCloud subscription is to drop it down to the free level for 5GB.
Open Settings ➔ Apple iD (Your Name at TOP) ➔ Subscriptions: Tap on your iCloud subscription and change the plan to the free plan (5GB).
